Repair process

What happens after you leave the device with us.

We check the device in, inspect the problem, confirm the repair, complete the work, and test it before pickup or return shipping.

From check-in to completion

The exact timing changes by device and damage, but the order stays simple.

Step 01

Check-in

We record the model, symptoms, condition, contact information, and requested service.

Step 02

Inspection

We test the device and identify the part, board, software, or data-recovery path.

Step 03

Quote & approval

We confirm the price and expected turnaround before additional work begins.

Step 04

Repair & testing

After the repair, we check the related functions and perform final quality control.

Step 05

Pickup or return

We notify you when it is ready for pickup or prepare it for insured return shipping.

What happens behind the bench

The repair is more than replacing a part. We document the job, isolate the fault, complete the repair, and verify the result.

Diagnosis first. Repair second.

For straightforward repairs, the path is quick. No-power, liquid-damage, board-repair, and data-recovery jobs may require deeper testing before a final answer is possible.

Help us check the device faster

A few details at check-in can prevent delays and make testing more accurate.

What to bring or include

Bring only what is related to the problem unless we ask for something else.

The device and a clear description of the problem.
The charger or cable when charging is the complaint.
The passcode when full testing requires device access.
For mail-in jobs, your name, phone, email, and repair ticket.

What can affect turnaround

Most common repairs are predictable. Complex damage sometimes requires extra time.

Part availability or special-order components.
Liquid damage, corrosion, or multiple unrelated faults.
Board repair, data recovery, or previous repair attempts.
Waiting for approval, a passcode, or additional information.

Repair tracking

Check the status without calling the shop.

Use the repair tracker to view the current status. Partner customers can also use their dashboard for repair notes and balances.

Common questions

Before you leave the device with us

These answers cover the most common process questions. Warranty and shipping details are available on their dedicated pages.

Do you start the repair before giving me a price?

For common services with a confirmed price, we follow the approved service. If inspection finds a different issue or added cost, we contact you before continuing.

Can I track a walk-in repair?

Yes. Use the Track page with the customer information connected to the ticket. Repair-shop partners can use the partner dashboard.

How long does diagnosis take?

Timing depends on the device and failure. Common part repairs are usually faster than liquid damage, board repair, data recovery, or intermittent problems.

Will every function be tested?

We test the repaired function and any other functions available to us. A passcode, activation lock, missing accessory, or severe damage may limit testing.
